**9am -5pm Office Based**
Our client is looking for a self-motivated, energetic individual to join their fantastic team in Bromsgrove. As the Design Engineer your main responsibility will be to design and estimate projects to allow the business to continue to excel within the industry.

**The Role**:
- Complete and be able to review all necessary design calculations for a variety of sectors within the business
- Being responsible for completing, overseeing and checking designs and estimates
- Dealing with enquires and understanding project specifications and requirements
- Issue technical queries to clients where clarification is required
- Prepare equipment schedules for estimating/ final design and check those generated by others
- Assist Project team with identifying any design issues identified at commissioning stage
- Managing the estimate of a project, ensure all items are included to the correct client scope in accordance with the project specific contract. Including ensuring that the opening profit margin is in excess of the agreed minimum business % value
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving and organisational skills
- Proficient across Microsoft Platforms
- Advanced at using relevant industry software (for Mechanical roles - HEVACOMP, IES ad for Electrical roles AMTECH)
- Competency in Leadership & Management demonstrated through ILM Level 3 Award
- Technical competency demonstrated through relevant HNC
**Qualifications**:
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths, English, Science, Design Technology+ 3 others Grade C or above or equivalent
- CSCS White Card
- Working in the Utilities or Construction industry
