As part of the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for creating maximum value for Slingco through the development, execution and effective management of strategic sourcing and fulfilment plans.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Support and cover for the Group Purchasing Manager to ensure right products at the right time at the right price.
- Ensure all company policies and processes are defined and adhered to.
- Challenge and report the impact to the business on cost increases.
- Drive and lead cost reduction workshops.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with internal and external suppliers and customers.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best commercial and contract terms.
- Be part of the Sourcing team to develop robust supply chains that can support the company’s growth plans.
- Identify, select, and contract suppliers.
- Find re-sourcing opportunities via stakeholder engagement and data analysis.
- Work closely with the Supplier Development Manager to manage supplier performance with respect to cost, quality, service, and risk.
- Represent Supply Chain for New Product Introduction and existing product development strategies.
- Negotiate and manage NPD commercial activities across the global supply chain.
- Conduct research to support contract and commercial negotiations.
- Prepare, evaluate, and execute RFQ packages.
- Carry out benchmarking and cost analysis reports.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that will generate value through increase supplier performance or capabilities.
- Responsibilities extend across the finished goods category - defined as a group or groups of related goods.
- In the role, you will create a network of key stakeholders and executive sponsors across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, R&D, engineering, sales, marketing, and finance.
- Review process flows in existing supply chains to identify risks.
- Agree disaster recovery plans for risks that cannot be eliminated.
- Obtain supplier business continuity risks and keep register up to date.
- Monitor, analyse and act on departmental KPI’s.
- Assist design in the evaluation and qualification of new products.
- Support onboarding activities of new suppliers.
- Maintain the company approved supplier list and agree audit schedules.
- Support off site business review meetings as and when required. Overseas and UK.
- Attend meetings and training courses as required.
- Provide data analysis as required and support the Global Supply Chain Director.
