Business Development Executive

My client is an FCA-regulated provider of innovative financial products that help individuals access inheritance funds quicker and more easily than traditional financial products.
This is a fantastic role with huge potential, ideal for an aspiring and enthusiastic business development professional to continue their career with an emerging consumer finance start up. You will be responsible for growing the company’s revenue and profilethrough case referrals from a range of Intermediaries.
They have an entrepreneurial ethos, and you will have the exciting opportunity to influence the future success of the business.
**Key responsibilities**
- Working in a regional team with an allocated Business Development Manager to activate new, and develop existing, intermediary relationships from a pool of potential intermediaries
- Develop an effective contact plan with the allocated Business Development Manager, which ensures that opportunities are maximised through strong teamwork and deploying the most effective treatment strategy for each segment of the panel
- Engage and present (primarily remotely) to key contacts within most promising segments for proactive engagement on an ongoing basis to generate opportunities ('Hunt’)
- 'Farm’ panel of active Intermediaries to generate opportunities through continued contact
- For directly introduced business, liaise with Intermediaries and be willing to communicate with the Customer (the applicant) and Intermediary to ensure required documentation is received
- Using knowledge of products be able to solve Intermediary and Customer issues to maximise opportunities without, where possible, recourse to others
- Address first line queries from Intermediaries in a timely and interactive hands-on manner; demonstrating knowledge of products, objection handling, underwriting requirements, etc.
- Ensure effective communication between allocated BDM, Intermediary and Operations/Underwriting to eliminate, as far as possible, any delays/misconceptions/misunderstandings
**Key Attributes & Experience**
- B2B2C Sales/Relationship Management experience
- Demonstrable career progression
- Excellent relationship building and leadership skills
- Tenacious, able to work around potential blockages, ability to think on your feet
- Excellent communicator at all levels and through all channels, attention to detail
- Confident at writing and delivering presentations
- Proactive and self-motivated, able to work remotely
- Fully skilled in Microsoft Office product suite and CRM systems
