Warehouse Team Leader

Platform Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a Warehousing business, to recruit a **Warehouse Team Leader** for their branch based in the Barry area of South Wales. This business has seen an increase in demand over the last 12 months and they are now looking to bring onboard a new Warehouse Team Leader to support with the day to day running of this site.

You will have experience of working in a similar supervisory role within a Warehouse/ Stores and Dispatch environment, supervising picker/ packers/ dispatch team members/ stores operatives and warehousing operatives. A qualification in warehousing operations or management would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

**Warehouse Team Leader Salary and Benefits**
- Up to £27,000 p/a experience depending
- Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
- 28 days Holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays

**Warehouse Team Leader Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain Warehouse disciplines, supervising, coaching and monitoring performance of Warehouse Operatives
- Stock control / cycle counting
- Ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to within the team at all times
- Job allocation, ensuring team members know their daily tasks
- Report daily on operational output results, efficiency
- Organise stock to pick areas based on demand
- Reconcile stock discrepancies
- Operator flexibility training
- Meet deadlines in accordance with customer requirements
- Ensure quality of pick & pack function, that team is meeting KPI’s and customer SLAs
- Liaise with Customer Service regarding transport requirements
- Advise Ops Manager of any customer activity above normal pick pack
- Ensure stock transactions are uploaded /downloaded correctly
- Ensure that actual work carried out is recorded and passed to accounts
- Ensure stock is located accurately and correctly.
- Ensure that housekeeping is kept to a “tour ready” standard
- Any other reasonable request that is required to support business activity

**Essential Experience/ Skills**
- Experience within a Warehouse/ Stores Supervisory or Management role
- Experience of goods in and goods out process
- Able to manage team KPI’s and review performance
- Ensure team members are hitting targets including meeting customer SLA’s
- Experience of liaising with customers and suppliers as well as 3rdparty logistics companies.
- Experience of training and coaching team members
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
