Warehouse Supervisor

Palletways has over 30 years’ experience in express palletised freight delivery and has steadily expanded its network to key countries within Europe, building a network of over 400 members operating from over 450 depots dedicated to offering a wide range of pallet delivery services to suit our customers’ requirements resulting in over **45,000 pallets** travel through our network every day.

We are looking for a dynamic Warehouse Supervisor (day shift) to join our team within our site based in Cardiff, located on Barry Docks. Reporting directly to the Transport/Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of operatives to ensure the efficient and effective operation. Also, to achieve operational KPIs to tight deadlines and drive improvements by engaging the team in promoting a positive culture.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Our site is a fast paced, so there will often be a need for you to act independently and to think on your feet. Your existing warehouse/ distribution/ logistics first line management expertise is valued and you will need to draw upon your previous experience to make sound operational decisions and liaise closely with our Traffic Team and Customer Service Department.
- To lead and motivate your team to achieve operational goals
- Manage team performance and provide guidance and support
- Effectively plan labour and resource to deliver operational requirements in a timely manner whilst meeting agreed KPI’s and Service Levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Co-ordinate and oversee daily warehouse activities

**Person Specification**:

- An understanding/knowledge of Health & Safety (H&S).
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience managing teams
- Knowledge of dispatch operations, including pallet dispatch.
- Experience working with a fleet consisting of vans and LGVs.
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid FLT Counterbalance license.
- Computer literacy/skills.

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday (occasional Saturday)

Shift: 07:00 - 16:30

**Salary**: £30,490.20 (£13.03ph)

Holidays: 25 days
