**Summary**:
- A Programme Management Office (PMO) is a management structure that standardises the programme-related governance processes and facilitates the sharing of resources, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.**Job description**:
- The CAAS Submarines PMO resource needs to promulgate the relevant processes, procedures and other mechanisms that enable the operation of common standards of programme management within all tasks and activities undertaken by the organisation. This includes use of standard tools, and possibly specialist tools, existing within the organisation to facilitate the monitoring, control and status reporting of project’s: scheduling, financial, risk management, document management, status recording and governance.
- The PMO resource will support the Programme Lead in the co-ordination, planning and reporting of resources, outcomes and risks and will therefore work directly to the Lead in terms of operating a programme management approach that is fit for purpose and the most effective and efficient method for that programme.**Responsibilities**:

- Membership of the Association of Project Management (Full or Associate).
- The Post holder is required to either hold APMP (or equivalent certification) or be working towards obtaining the certification within the first twelve months of being in the role.
- Desirable
- Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or APM PPQ is desirable.**Responsibilities**:
- The key responsibilities of the PMO is to:
- Act as the conduit for cascading and implementing CAAS programme management methodologies and ways of working, whilst sharing good practice and learning with other CAAS PMO’s. Driving improvement by raising Improving Quality suggestions when appropriate.
- Ensuring all Programme risks, issues and opportunities are recorded and reported in line with CAAS Risk Policy, process and procedure.
- Development, management and reporting of a resourced schedule of work for the programme.
- Management of the CAAS Business Information System (BIS); developing, populating and maintaining each programme years tasking structure and detail.
- Support the Resource Management and associated financial control for Technical Support Management (TSM), reporting resource planned vs burn rates, raising risks and issues should the budgeted days or funds differ from agreed upon levels or are projected to do so (both higher or lower than agreed).
- Co-ordination and management of Programme assumptions and dependencies.
- Development and production of Management Information (MI) as required by the Programme, working with the BIS developers to produce / check information when necessary.
- Co-ordination of CAAS BIS, HR and Risk MI into the required Operations Board reporting formats, ensuring the report is populated in time and consistent and coherent with other Programme reports.
- Process Control; including but not limited to setting up programme meetings, supporting and attending Critical Task Reviews (CTRs) and Output Assurance Reviews (OAR) as required, update and co-ordination of Engagement Trackers.
- Processing Customer tasking requests (via DEFFORM 122 / other methods) and ensuring swift processing through the ‘Initiate’ stage of IPEC and confirming allocation of a Delivery Lead to see the task through the remaining IPEC stages.
- Production of MI to support the review and reporting of Programme compliance against IPEC and ensuring all quality standards are being met.**Behaviours**:
