This is an opportunity to look after some of the most scenic loos in the country We are looking for someone to join our busy and motivated Facilities Team who work across the North and West Lakes looking after our buildings and car parks.

**The Hours**:This is an annualised permanent role, working up to four days a week in the busier periods.

**The Salary**:£10.50 per hour

**Duration**:The focus of this role is from April until November, with fewer hours being working over the winter.

This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year.

Due to the location of this role you'll need a full driving licence.

What it's like to work here:In the North and West Lakes Portfolio we get to look after some of the most stunning bits of the Lake District; from our Georgian townhouse in Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth, and out across our six valleys: Borrowdale, Buttermere, Ennerdale, Wasdale, Eskdale and Dudden. It’s a big patch, but it’s a very special place to work.

The Facilities team play a very important part in the smooth operation of this large National Trust portfolio. The team is hard working, dedicated and enjoy delivering high quality service to our customers both internal and external. This role will work closely with our Facilities Coordinator and will report to the Facilities & Support Services Manager.

What you'll be doing:As the Facilities Assistant, you'll assist with the day to day cleanliness and presentation the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor maintenance ensuring all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter picking will form a core part of the role, both inside and outdoors. You’ll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the area by always implementing a ‘customer comes first’ attitude. General maintenance work and helping within other teams will also form part of your role.
