**WHAT TO EXPECT**
We are looking to bring a talented software delivery expert to spearhead the delivery of Propulsion software for the Propulsion Software, Calibration & Controls team.
This role isn’t just about software delivery management hover, as it heavily focuses on leading a team up to twenty people (where you get the opportunity to lead on the growth and development of others)
This is an opportunity to work with new technologies and pioneering engineering in an agile environment.
**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- As a Software Management Chapter Lead you will be working with multiple teams that specify, engineer and deliver Propulsion Software across relevant platforms and car lines, meeting defined targets and attributes (technical and commercial - on cost, quality and time).
- You’ll get to ensure best practice and technical excellence in our programme delivery, by developing tools and processes, and ensuring engineers are skilled to deliver within the defined framework, and capture and document our knowledge and processes in the chapter’s Body of Knowledge.
- Additionally, you’ll get to support the chapter members with career development, objective setting, knowledge transfer and provide pastoral care as well as oversee internal resources deployment, recruitment and other activities, ensuring that the chapter members are embedded into the delivery squads and providing a consistent programme delivery response across the wider teams in Powertrain Domain.
**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**
- Knowledge of propulsion software development, calibration and controls systems.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing processes, tools, systems and strategies.
- Proven team leadership and management skills with the ability to provide pastoral care.
- Ability to focus on delivery and removing the roadblocks that inhibit the chapter members from achieving the intended goal.
