**Payroll Administrator - Main Duties**
- Manage an allocated portfolio of payroll clients, working within a team to meet deadlines and ensure the accurate and efficient running of monthly, weekly, 2 weekly and 4 weekly pay runs.
- Maintain robust payroll processing systems and records by gathering, calculating and inputting data.
- Ensure the internal payroll system (STAR) is accurate and up to date across all client records.
- Adhere to payroll legislation and advo policies and procedures.
- Remain competent with HMRC guidance and updates and where necessary liaise with HRMC on behalf of clients.
- Attend allocated new business client meetings (via telephone or face to face), working towards agreed annual targets.
- Onboard new payroll clients and build successful relationships, actively cross-selling into other advo areas (employee benefits and HR)
**Payroll Administration**
- Dealing with allocated incoming & outgoing post.
- Printing and scanning of documentation including issuing of payslips, P45’s & P60’s.
- Uploading of monthly pension contributions via online provider portals.
- Processing BACs payments.
**Competencies / knowledge / Skills / Qualifications**
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently within a team
- Accurate numeracy is essential
- Good analytical, problem-solving skills
- Reliability and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication
- Experienced with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Thorough understanding of UK payroll legislation
- CIPP qualification desirable but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
