Lab Support Assistant - Part Time
**We have an opening to **support** our **Pharmaceutical** client within the Ulverston area, offering **Laboratory** **support** working within an **integrated** **environment and with a well established team**

**Job Overview**

The Lab Support Assistant will provide services in support of the wider laboratory functions. The role will include, but is not limited to,
- **Archiving of Quality and Administrative documents.**:

- **Restocking of cupboards with clean glassware.**:

- **Cleaning of water stills and fume cupboards to GxP standards.**:

- **Preparation and delivery of samples from the production laboratory, to analysis laboratory, to end customer and retained stores.**:

- **Weekly water sampling from production areas.**:

- **Calibration of analytical balances, pH meters and titrator machines.**:

- **Use of SAP and MIDAS systems.**
- Compliance with GSK/Mitie processes and procedures.
- Working to rigorous standards.
- Escalation of issues.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Accountable for adopting the ALCOA+ (attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original & accurate) principles.
- Maintaining 100% in MyLearning & Mitie Learning hub
- Ensure scheduled lab equipment PQ testing is completed in line with the plan
- Flexibility to cover any activities that supports plant production
- Ensuring cover for absences and holidays as determined by business needs
- Escalating issues or risks to the Team Lead in a timely manner

**What we are looking for**
- Attention to detail & capability to work methodically to strict processes and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively and foster good working relationships with a wide range of client, internal and external roles
- Confidence and communication skills to challenge behaviours and drive continuous improvement.
- Can perform under pressure and independent of supervision
- Position requires individual to be mobile (moving to/from various site locations) and some physical lifting will be necessary
