**Marketing & Events Executive**

**Principal Responsibilities**

1. To maximise the financial performance of Heartlands by increasing footfall to our facilities, using digital and print opportunities

2. To create graphic and written content that fits with brand ethos

3. To maintain all Heartlands social accounts

4. To deliver a strong marketing strategy

**MAIN DUTIES**

1. To be a strong brand ambassador for all Heartlands facilities and events

2. To work closely and strategically with the Business Development Manager, events team, and Hospitality Manager to create focused marketing campaigns

3. Ensure campaigns are targeted to reach specific demographics relevant to purpose

4. Regular market research and competitor analysis

5. Stay current with marketing trends

7. Ensure Website content is SEO

8. To add and update events and event tickets on our website

9. To create graphic content for posters and print using design software

10. To ensure the advertisement around Heartlands is kept current and tidy

11. To be responsible for all Heartlands social media

12. To establish good relationships with local media

13. To look for free marketing and PR opportunities

14. To submit regular press releases to news editors

15. To encourage social influencers to engage with Heartlands

16. Attend relevant events and carry out promotional activities externally.

17. To provide a monthly stats report for social and web visitors

18. Monitor, analysis and provide an end of campaign report

19. To communicate internally, the Heartlands brand image, ensuring our staff understand the ethos and know the current marketing campaigns

20. To work with the Business Development Manager on external advertisement

21. To work to the appropriate budgets and targets

22. To plan and deliver events at Heartlands in conjunction with the events team

23. To help with the set up and take down of events if required

24. To work as part of a wider team across the Trust to deliver organisational objectives

25. To be an advocate for the Trust and to promote the aims of the organisation

26. To take responsibility for your own personal development and to share your learning with others

27. To listen to feedback from our visitors and to ensure that it is used positively to influence and develop the organisation and its activities

28. To work flexibly to satisfy the needs of the business

29. To uphold and comply with the organisation’s Policies and the Law in relation to Health & Safety, Financial Regulations, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection and other adopted Policies and Procedures required for the smooth and effective operation of the organisation

30. To undertake other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the status of the post as may from time to time be required

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**DESIRABLE**

**1. Skills and Knowledge**

Innovative, creative, and flexible; able to produce creative solutions to problems

Excellent communication skills, with experience of communicating across a range of audiences. An effective ambassador for Heartlands

Strong social media skills across all platforms

Knowledge of marketing to B2C and B2B

Experience of using WordPress

Outstanding written skills

Ability to work on several projects and prioritise tasks

Self-motivation, commitment, and enthusiasm

Excellent ICT skills - Especially Excel and Outlook Calendar

Previous experience using Canva software

Some basic photography experience

**2. Experience/Qualifications/Training etc**

A reasonable length of experience in a similar role

A qualification in marketing

A qualification in events

**3. Work Related Circumstances**

Must be flexible and able and willing to work extra hours and some weekends, bank holidays and evenings when required

Must be able to travel to meet the needs of the post

**4. Physical/Health Requirements**

Person appointed must be able to access all public areas of the property including stairwells, confined spaces, heights etc

Work may involve reasonable lifting of heavy/bulky objects within the published health & safety guidelines on manual handling

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£24,635.42 per year

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Digital marketing: 1 year (preferred)
- Marketing: 1 year (preferred)
