A fantastic opportunity is available for a office administrator in our recovery breakdown department join a well-established, local Breakdown & Recovery business. Based in Caldicot the successful applicant will join a team of hardworking and dedicated people offering assistance to customers who have broken down by the roadside.

**Description**:Breakdown & Recovery Control Room Operator - Days

Duties include:
Working on the telephone, receiving calls from customers including Motoring Organisations and the general public.

Prioritising jobs and dispatching resources to attend roadside and recovery incidents throughout the local area and across the UK.

Working with other companies to ensure that all aspects of the job are completed efficiently whilst ensuring the customers and roadside staff are kept safe.

Other duties include:, processing card payments, raising invoices, conducting audits and producing reports as well as some ad hoc Admin tasks where required.

**Experience & Skills**:Applicants MUST have the following skills and experience:

- Ideally have previous experience working in a similar environment Otherwise having worked in a call-handling / help desk role handling large volumes of calls and despatching work to external resources.
- Able to work on their own initiative and take charge of the situation; managing the job from initial contact to completion
- Prioritise workloads in a pressurised and fast-moving environment
- Superb telephone, administrative, organisational and IT skills
- Calm and professional approach and ability to work unsupervised once training completed
- Proven track record dealing with customers at all levels
- Excellent local knowledge of the local area and good national geographic knowledge
- Ability to empathise and understand that there is never a good time to break down and work to GDPR, confidentiality and Covid protocols.
- Be prepared to muck in when required and cover other job roles including administration.

Experience of the breakdown & recovery or automotive industries is an advantage but not essential.

**Training**:Training will be given as part of an induction program and additional systems training.

**Shift & Hours 2 Week rota pattern**

Week 1 07.00am to 16.00pm

Week 2 10.00am to 19.00pm

Overtime available to help cover staff absence and holidays.

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour
