**Kitchen Assistant**

Hourly Rate £10.42 - £10.62 per hour

Autograph Care is a leading provider of residential and dementia care services in Yorkshire and the East Midlands. Each Autograph home has a reputation for quality in everything they do, with an emphasis on providing person-centred and compassionate care in luxurious but homely environments.

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our residential dementia care home in Inwood House, located on **Wakefield Rd, Horbury, Wakefield WF4 5HG**.

**As a Kitchen Assistant your role will include**
- Logging and cooking main meals using the Appetito Meal Plans. (meals are already prepared)
- Preparing and cooking breakfast, pastries, afternoon snacks such as cakes, biscuits etc
- Follow Health and Safety and food safety procedures.
- Keep the kitchen equipment, crockery and utensils clean and hygienic and report concerns to line manager.
- To serve and support with meals to residents as required.

**Ideally as a kitchen Assistant you will have**
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous catering experience.
- Knowledge of a care setting and the needs of elderly people.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Experience of working in a care environment, ideally in a residential setting (desirable).
- Level 2 Food Safety certificate (desirable).
