**Catering assistant**

We are looking for an enthusiastic catering assistant to provide food service in our golf club. Days will vary. Evening and weekend work will be required.

If you are able to perform well in fast-paced environments, we’d like to meet you.

**Responsibilities**
- Preparing hot and cold food from a general day to day menu for our members and visitors at Normanton Golf Club. You will also be required to cover the halfway house, where appropriate. You will also prepare and serve society and team meals.
- Prepare hot and cold beverages.
- Greet members and guests in timely manner and take orders.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Process cash and credit card transaction following appropriate procedures.
- Up - sell additional products when appropriate.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team members.
- Comply with all food hygiene and beverage regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.

**Requirements**:

- Experience as catering assistant with 1 year of experience in a similar environment
- Excellent product knowledge of food and drink.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills and a team player
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate required
- Full training will be provided

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.44 per hour
