Associate Survey Support Technician

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Associate Survey Support Technician to join one of the world's leading energy clients, in their Survey Engineering Support Team, based in Aberdeen.
The Survey Support Technician will work alongside Support Engineers, assisting in projects for the definition, procurement, and equipment requirements for the remotely operated vehicle and vessel deployed survey equipment. You will participate in and supportthe tracking of project and vessel survey equipment from mobilisation to demobilisation, ensuring that the offshore work sites are supported in respect to the correct setup, calibration, and use of equipment and that all technical faults and breakdowns arerecorded and reported in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Participate and assist in the selection, interfacing, setup, and use of survey equipment to project surveyors, field staff and operational stakeholders as required
- Support and assist survey support engineers with the creation of internal equipment requests and purchase requisitions
- Assist with the validating the receipt of equipment, populate and update equipment trackers with relevant equipment information from delivery notes
- Participate in return manifest review to assist with ensuring correct items are back loaded
- Work with and assist all stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, return and off-hire of equipment to/from offshore work sites
- Participate and assist with vessel work site equipment mobilisation support as required
- Contribute to the review of equipment fault reports and facilitate replacements to vessel as appropriate
- Assist with the administration of vessel and survey equipment configuration documentation
- Assist survey support engineers to maintain vessel equipment inventories and facilitate vessel consumable requests
- Contribute to preparation of technical notes, procedures and mobilisation plans as required.
- Assist the compilation of regular project equipment hire/loss and costs reports.
You must be comfortable with:
- Occasional short and/or overnight offshore assignments & vessel visits
- Occasional foreign travel requirements
The Successful applicant must be organised with excellent planning skills, and able to communicate at all levels effectively across a global business. Have a positive and flexible attitude in your work approach. Self-motivated with commitment to learn anddevelop. You must be able to work well within a team, but also have the initiative to work on your own, with little supervision.
