**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate a flatbed lorry for the transportation of goods to various destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records as required by company policy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
- There will be additional yard duties and also shop floor duties on an ad hoc basis however, driving will be the main job requirement.
- You must have a 7 ton lorry license as a minimum. We will require you to obtain the large lorry license once you have taken up the position. We will assist in obtaining this qualification.

**Skills**
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Strong knowledge of flatbed lorry operations and handling techniques.
- Excellent driving skills with a valid commercial driving licence.
- Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £16.00 per hour
