Zenith People are representing our client who are a Manufacturer based in the North East looking to recruit an experienced Production Planner on a permanent basis. As Production Planner, you will be using JIT/JIS data to ensure production jobs are releasedin a controlled manner using our client’s production execution system. Working as part of the planning team you will be monitoring parts mix, any customer demand variations, monitoring/improving SAP master data & part level changes.

**The Role Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring JIS data & release call offs via the in house system.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the customer as required, avoiding any disruption to the customer
- Liaising with the customer and giving advance notification of any anomalies & providing an excellent level of customer satisfaction
- Ensuring coherence of the order book and notifying senior management of any anomalies
- Run SAP sales/mix/forecast reports to ensure plan effectiveness, report findings/results to management to analyse all deliveries
- Co-ordinate the return/replacement of customer parts
- Inform the logistics department or the customer in the event of a non-compliance with production commitments, if there is a risk of delivery interruption
- Helping to create logistics department instruction sheets/procedures
- Support logistics actions from engineering changes, ensure smooth transition between changes
- Carry out other duties as required to support Operations and company-wide needs

**The person we’re looking for**:

- Ability to form effective working relationships with external customers
- Pro-active & flexible work approach
- Must be able to prioritise workload within a multi-tasking environment
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Use good initiative & quick effective communication
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience using SAP within a similar role.
- Demonstrate previous ERP experience.
- Experienced in liaising with customers and suppliers.
- Good understanding of supply chain of processes and their interdependencies.
- Awareness of 5s disciplines (preferred
