We recognise the urgent need within the educational sphere to cater to the distinct needs of young individuals who encounter challenges in engaging with conventional education. Our approach aims to bridge the gap for those who have been excluded from Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and those who have not found suitable educational solutions.

Through our Home Tutoring package, we provide tailored one-on-one support, catering to the learning and developmental needs of individuals aged 5 to 25. This comprehensive assistance is specifically tailored for those diagnosed with conditions like ADHD, ASD, ODD, Mild Learning Difficulties, and individuals grappling with mental health concerns.

Our education package also extends its reach to individuals who are Child Looked After (CLA), under a Deprivation of Liberty (DOL) order, on the Edge of Care, categorized as Child in Need, young offenders, or facing barriers that hinder their participation in mainstream education.

**Job Role**:
As education coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the educational program within PCSU. You will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities to ensure they align with the organisation's goals and objectives. You will need to engage our young people and focus on improving their life chances.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and manage tutoring schedules for students and tutors, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources.
- Coordinate with tutors, parents, professionals and students to schedule tutoring sessions, considering preferences and availability.
- Handle rescheduling requests and make appropriate adjustments to accommodate changes in schedules.
- Manage the student registration process, collecting necessary information and ensuring all required documents are obtained.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student progress records in the database.
- Coordinate tutor orientation and training sessions, providing necessary resources and information to new tutors.
- Maintain communication with tutors to address any concerns, provide support, and ensure they adhere to organisational guidelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, students, tutors and professionals regarding administrative inquiries and support.
- Maintain an inventory of tutoring materials, books, sensory toys and resources, ensuring they are adequately stocked and available for tutors and students.
- Compile and analyse data related to tutoring operations, such as attendance, student progress, and tutor performance.
- Generate reports for management to evaluate the effectiveness of tutoring programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Send daily attendance, weekly progress reports and termly reports
- Visit each young person for an initial meeting, to encourage their engagement with the programme; Ensure each young person will be provided with engaging and structured sessions, where progress can be evidenced.
- Collaborate with the Assessment & Needs Coordinator regarding the young person’s learning needs and Individual Learning Plan and match them with a tutor, who can work with them to achieve their full potential and fulfil their aspirations.
- Support the development of the relationship between the tutor and the learner.
- Support in creating and monitoring rewards and recognition system for young people’s achievements.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field (Master's degree may be preferred for some roles).

Relevant experience in education, program management, or a related field.

Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of educational best practices and curriculum development.

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
