Job Title: Site Agent

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Reports to: Project Manager

Responsible for All Operatives and the Diamond Trenching Team Leader

Levels of Authority: As designated by Project Manager

Main Function of the Role:
To supervise teams and operatives executing activities on behalf of Ociusnet. Monitoring that performance meets recognised standards in line with contract service level agreements, quality and compliance with essential health and safety provisions.

Key Objectives
- To ensure that teams have appropriate vehicles, equipment stores and skills to perform allocated work.
- To perform fluidity tasks to ensure work can be executed on time and without issue
- To liaise with customers, clients, local authorities and other interested third parties regarding past, present or future works
- To liaise with the Ociusnet Project Team
- To update OciusX with accurate picture of the works complete, in real time.
- To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessment and coaching to ensure gangs are performing to agreed production levels.
- To perform quality checks in line with contract specification and contract statement of requirements
- To ensure that work is carried out in compliance with NRSWA 1991, in particular safety, coordination and quality of reinstatement
- To undertake all necessary and appropriate Tool Box Talks, Briefings and other communications
- To perform regular checks ensuring fleet, plant and equipment maintenance is carried out and is calibrated within the correct timescales
- To keep and maintain accurate records
- To perform other duties as required.
- To comply with Ociusnet HSQE and welfare policy provisions
- To support our Customers and ensure all agreed KPI's are met or exceeded.
- To ensure operative records are accurate and kept up to date each week
- To give tool box talks, safety stand downs and other briefings to members of their teams

Key Skills
- Understand and have experience of Streetworks (excavation, backfill and reinstatement)
- Have the skills and confidence to supervise, coach and coordinate site tasks and requirements
- Have the ability to enter data into OciusX system via tablet/iPad
- Have a basic knowledge of a FTTP fibre network
- Have a good basic understanding of Health and Safety at work provisions
- Have interpersonal skills to work as part of a team: reliable, tolerant and be able to get on with others
- Have a good level of commercial awareness and basic business finance
- Have interpersonal skills to engage and respond positively with Stakeholders, such as Local Authorities, Customers and the general public
