We have a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Planner (Controller) to join our team based in Somerset.

**About the role**:
As a Controller /Planner you will be providing a vital service as a liaison between our ambulance control centre, our operational staff, patients and Health Care Professionals.

**Duties include**:

- Planning and controlling of daily ambulance journeys transporting medically eligible patients to and from NHS healthcare facilities.
- Controlling a complex operation consisting of over 150 ambulances delivering 1000+ patient journeys per day.

**To be considered as Controller, you will need to be**:

- Good telephone manner
- Be customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations
- Have a good geographic knowledge of the areas
- Be able to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to take initiative
- Working effectively as a part of the team
- Experience working in a similar transport control/dispatcher environment would be beneficial however, full training is provided for this role.

**Training**
Full training for this role will be provided along with ongoing training and support to help you thrive at EMED.
