**The goal of the Business Partner is to ensure that all estimated network construction and maintenance costs are tracked and managed. The Business Partner will work in collaboration with the network build and maintenance teams to calculate and oversee direct finances for the network build project. Duties include planning the build projects' budgets by town and build pack, performing cost analyses, and reviewing purchase orders, build measures, build partner contracts and ensuring invoices are in line with rate cards and reconciled with confirmed measures.**

**Who we are? **We are a start-up gigabit internet network providing ultrafast connectivity to homes and business across the east of England. Although a start-up we are well funded and led by a highly experienced team telecoms professionals located in Spalding in Lincolnshire.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Financial Planning**: Prepare detailed network construction forecasts by town and job pack
- **Network construction management system**: Maintain network management system to include creating jobs on the system, uploading contracts, rate cards, job packs, change orders and project budgets and job costs, ensure all costings are allocated to accurate general ledger cost codes.
- **External and Internal Reporting**: Take ownership for reporting against key metrics and agreements to external and internal stakeholders. Specifically required to review and investigate variances between actual costs and budgets by job pack, and report variances to management.
- **Review and Approve**:Review and approve purchase orders, change orders, supplier invoices, Build Partner expenses, project variances.
**Skills Requirement**
- Good presentation capabilities, including preparing high quality pitch decks.
- Good Excel & MS Office skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting systems and their relationships with ancillary systems.
- Ability to work well with non-financial staff and explain financial considerations to them.
- Ability to analyse and interpret accounting data and perform quantitative analyses.
- Ability to gather information and work well independently using financial systems.
**Experience / Education**
- CIMA Qualification and/or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and/or finance required
- Progressive accounting experience
- Experience in job cost accounting and financial reporting
- Construction Management or General Contracting or Subcontractor industry experience would be preferable
**Salary**: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
