**This role entails**

We have two opportunities to join the shared services finance team at ITV. One opportunity is a permanent contract whilst the other is a 10 Month FTC. As the Purchasing Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide support to the purchasing process and team to ensure the correct execution of category and sourcing strategies, driving value and compliance. You will support the Purchasing Manager in reviewing buying channels and sourcing strategies, utilising data and deliver opportunities to optimise

**Key responsibilities**:

- Work with Purchasing Manager to deliver Purchasing automation including AI, Robotics and Self Help functionality
- Working with Procurement and the Purchasing Manager, implement buying strategies to deliver simple ways of working and provide value back
- Work with suppliers to increase use of invoice discounting process creating value for ITV
- Working with Procurement manage buying catalogues within the purchasing function
- Drive compliance against the preferred supplier list
- Support supplier and spend reporting around key strategic aims:

- ESG
- Duty to Report
- Sustainable sourcing
- Drive business adoption to utilise self help functionality
- Support requisitioning and process requisition lines

**To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the Minimum role criteria**:

- Experience of working in a procurement environment within a transactional service centre.
- Ideally you will have experience of Oracle Fusion

- Strong IT skills including GSuite and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work as a team player
- European languages in addition to English are advantageous
