**The role**:
The **Test Engineer** will join a multidiscipline successful design engineering team to be working exciting new range of highly quality products. R&D department seeking a **Test Engineer** who is enthusiastic, motivated, and highlyknowledgeable person with excellent problem-solving skills to carry out testing, fault-finding, and documenting of test activities

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with software and hardware development engineers as part of a multidisciplinary project team and will suit someone who is interested in challenging new technologies
- Test and diagnose hardware and software and generate bug reports
- Develop and write detailed test plans, procedures and test reports
- Liaise with and visit product compliance test houses to perform EN54 compliance testing of prototype and production units including EMC immunity and radiation tests and radio performance tests. This will require some amount of travel to site
- Aid development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for production line testing and take responsibility for its configuration, maintenance, repair and calibration.
- Diagnose product failures in production
- Write process documentation for production line test
- Conduct process control and quality control

**Technical Key Skills**:

- A minimum 2-5+ years of proven experience as a Test Engineer in product development and good understanding of product development lifecycle including production.
- Experience in board bring-up is essential for supporting hardware knowledge.
- Experience of generating tests plans from requirement specifications or use cases.
- Experience developing products in the Fire or Construction industry would be a bonus.
- Experience with production test processes
- Ideally have scripting skills for development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
