**Accounts Payable Assistant**

**£25,000.00 per annum, Full-Time vacancy**

**Permanent Appointment - Glasgow**

Nicholas Hendry is currently working with a well-known, Glasgow-based business that is enjoying a period of sustained growth. Our client is an instantly recognisable local employer that, due to continued expansion, is looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist, who has a Strong competency in ERP systems, and is interested in process improvement & automation.

To be successful in this post, you'll need to have previous experience in a similar role, where you have been responsible for Accounts Payable invoice processing, liaising with suppliers, supplier statements, bank reconciliation & supervising junior members of staff.

**Essential Experience**:

- Across multiple ledgers and currencies (GBP, USD and EUR)
- Dealing with supplier queries in a professional and courteous manner
- Reconciling supplier statements, investigating, and fixing any discrepancies
- Reviewing ledgers and investigating/resolving discrepancies
- Supervising the junior team member in day-to-day tasks
- Weekly payment runs
- Involved in projects as and when required e.g. new system implementations.
- Petty cash reconciliations and ensuring dealt with correctly.
- Analysing accounts and producing reports for management when requested.
- Ad hoc tasks as required
