Our Client are a leading engineering business, based in the North East of England. The company currently required a talented QHSE Assistant.
**Purpose of the Role**:

- A Quality, Health & Safety & Environment (QHSE) Assistant is required on a full time, permanent basis for a well-established manufacturing company that is currently implementing improvement plans to grow the business.
- We are seeking a meticulous and pragmatic person to join the QHSE Department at our manufacturing site.
- In this role, you will have the opportunity to join a modernisation programme from the beginning.
- Working with stakeholders across the business, you will instil a strong QHSE culture from the start, providing guidance and training to drive standards and supporting multi-disciplinary Continuous Improvement initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the development and improvement of procedures and documents in line with the relevant management standards for the site
- Provide and communicate accurate and timely QHSE data to the wider management team as requested by the QHSE Manager
- Data collection, entry and analysis in the creation of charts and graphs
- Implement, perform, and ensure adherence to the site auditing schedule; findings being addressed, closed, and communicated back
- Completion of QC checks
- Assist with the development, execution and improvement of QHSE processes and activities with the emphasis on; continuous improvement, defect, accident and environmental impact prevention, and compliance
- Assist with the development and implementation of QHSE training to support the needs of the business and its stakeholders; as required
- Execute team briefs and maintain/update QHSE performance data
- Process and investigate customer complaints, managing the process for any corrective and preventative action
- Regularly communicate with Operations regarding QHSE issues
- Help develop a culture of Safety, Compliance, Quality, and Continuous Improvement across the site

**Skills Required**:

- Ideally experience as a QHSE Assistant in an Electrical manufacturing-based company
- Minimum 4+ year's experience as a with QHSE disciplines
- Knowledge/experience of ISO9001, 14001, 45001 accreditations
- Capable of reading engineering drawings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) literate
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Experience of Inspecting of components
- Accepts own responsibility for motivating self and team members to perform
- Non-Conformance Reporting - Customer & Internal
- Understand problem-solving techniques
- Corrective & Preventative action Implementing & monitoring progress
- Knowledge of 5 Why, root cause analysis, 8D/7D
- ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 internal auditor
