As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our Construction engineering support team with a **Construction Finance Assistant** at our head office in **St John’s Town of Dalry, Castle Douglas**, this position offers hybrid working flexibility.

**Our Team**:
The Natural Power Construction Team supports clients by administering contracts and acting as the primary project interface. We oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with technical specifications. Our services include specialist grid and electrical expertise, as well as civil and structural support, monitoring, witness testing, and snagging inspections.

Our multidisciplinary engineering team includes specialists in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and geotechnical engineering. Their expertise helps streamline project delivery and allows us to provide on-site representation when required.

The role focuses on providing financial support to our team of project managers and clients, including preparing client invoices, tracking budgets, and generating financial reports. You will also assist with the use of our ERP and other internal systems, working closely with the department’s administration and bid support teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**:
**Project Invoicing**:

- Support the timely and accurate invoicing of all projects monthly or as required.
- Ensure compliance with financial deadlines and specific contract requirements.

**Project Budget Control**
- Assist in tracking project income and expenditure.
- Support Project Managers in maintaining budget control and preparing regular internal and external financial reports.
- Mentor Project Managers in using financial tools and reporting features within our ERP system to enhance project financial management.

**Management Accounts**
- Contribute to the monthly management accounts process, including accurate calculation of prepayments, accruals, and work-in-progress (WIP) values.
- Assist with budget re-forecasting and monitor actual performance against budget.
- Support the financial oversight of the European construction department, including monthly profitability and management accounts for UK, Ireland, and France.

**Finance Liaison**
- Act as a point of contact for the Accounts Department and Group Financial Controller, providing information and resolving queries.
- Collaborate with other Business Unit finance coordinators on interdepartmental invoicing and WIP management.
- Liaise with the Group Credit Controller to support debtor control.

**Client Contact**
- Respond to client enquiries related to invoicing, fees, and financial matters in coordination with the relevant Project Manager.
- Manage variations to budgets, invoice amendments, and other ad hoc financial queries.

**Financial Feedback**
- Provide regular financial updates and insights to Project Managers and Team leaders to support informed decision-making.

**Project Closure and Maintenance**
- Review, complete, and close projects upon completion of works.
- Regularly update project start and end dates to reflect current timelines and ensure accuracy of reporting.
- Help review and update the sales pipeline data on a regular basis.
- Assist the admin support team on an ad hoc basis where demand requires.

This is a permanent role, working **30 to 37.5 hours per week**, Monday to Friday.
