We are looking for a passionate cook for our residential home, Experience is desired but not essential as long as you can cook

**Duties will include**
- Preparing healthy and well-balanced diet for all residents
- complying with all dietary needs for residents i.e. diabetics vegetarian etc as well as offering choice to all residents.
- monitoring kitchen stock
- maintain high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen

**About You**

**Qualities were looking for**:

- Good communicator and can lead by example
- Good record keeping skills - documenting information in accordance with guidelines
- Focused
- Genuine passion for food and for our resident's dietary requirement

**What we need from you**:

- To oversee the smooth running of the kitchen
- Ensure kitchen protocol is maintained
- Ensure safe food handling is adhered to ie frozen foods are defrosted before using
- To ensure all meals are ready at the appropriate time
- To offer and prepare, if necessary, at least three main options for lunch each day ensuring that fresh vegetables are used
- To delegate appropriate work to the kitchen assistant as required and monitor that this has been carried out to a satisfactory level
- To ensure cleaning completed as per rota
- Prepare fresh cakes for afternoon tea/special occasions
- Adhere to COSH policies, procedures and documentation requirements
- Complete relevant in-house training in accordance with job description
- Completion of satisfactory DBS checks

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.04 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
