**The Work You’ll Do**

As a technical writer for the Global VAT line of business, you’ll help us build exceptional software experiences through user-centered content creation. With a passion for the written word and a knack for simplifying the complex, you’ll own the creation and maintenance of content for several Help Centers, in-app guides and walkthroughs, product release notes, and product announcements.

Ideally, you’ll have experience translating technical jargon into accessible and simple language, demonstrate skill in distilling usage data into actionable insights, and thrive in a supportive but fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Most importantly, we hope you have a strong empathy for the user, a deep curiosity for finding where they might struggle, and an understanding of the importance of content in creating quality user experiences.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Create and publish release notes for several distinct scrum teams, translating technical updates into easily understandable and actionable announcements
- Own the success of one or several help centers, leveraging analytics, user feedback and support ticket data to improve usability and effectiveness of content
- Maintain and update help center content in coordination with product releases
- Collaborate with other tech writers and the content strategy team to ensure that all user-facing content is aligned with our global tone and voice
- Create and maintain in-app guides and walkthroughs
- Assist in writing in-app micro-copy
- Collaborate with Support, Product, Regulatory and other client-facing teams to ensure users are informed of outages, regulatory updates, and any other information that may impact the users’ success in using our software

**What we need from you**
- B.A. degree in English or a communication discipline, or B.A. degree plus equivalent experience.
- It’s not required, but we love to see experience in:
Creating training guides or help documentation for software users

Editing content to make it more accessible and easier to understand

Working closely with cross-functional teams

Producing quality content within a tight deadline
- An understanding of what accessibility means, and how it applies to user-facing content
- Writing samples demonstrating clear and concise content
- Enjoys finding the right words to communicate complex ideas simply
