**Job Title**: Prehung Operative

**Hours**: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4pm, Friday 7.30am - 3pm

**Salary**:£12-14 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Prehung Operative to work within a busy and expanding commercial and residential joinery workshop in the outskirts of Ely.

Our experienced Prehung Operative will need the experience in commercial bench joinery and have knowledge of glazing units, door sets and ideally be able to use majority of typical joinery workshop machinery / hand tools.

**Job Purpose**: Production of door sets, glazed framing units, door frames assembly, prehunging doorsets and packaging.

**Responsibilities**
- To accept the job instructions, complete with all relevant production paperwork and work to instructions specifications
- Skilled in the operation of the following: All Saws, Underpinner, all bench hand and power tools
- Can work unsupervised in Assembly, Glazing, PreHanging IM/ hardware Fitting and packaging.
- To ensure all production paperwork is completed in full, in a timely fashion and accurately.
- To check all product components are correct before and during the operation.
- To carry out QC checks and ensure the products are correct throughout the operation.
- To report any delays to your team leader as soon as they occur
- Keep your working area clean, tidy and safe.
- Always adhere to company processes and procedures
- Be aware of and follow all H&S procedures at all times and alert your team leader if an issue is spotted.
- Carry out regular and random quality checks and highlight potential issues to your team leader immediately.
- Adopt a flexible approach to working hours to suit the needs of the business, this may mean an element of weekend working or occasional night shifts.
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies as and when necessary.
- Identify areas of weakness and make recommendations for improvements to training, production performance, KPI (Key Performance Indicator) improvement, reduction in costs and other efficiencies.
- Always follow the reporting structure
- Carry out all reasonable instructions as directed by your team leader.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Min 1 year experience.
- Experience with Prehung door sets desirable.
- Ability to produce joinery products from drawings to final product.
- Ability to operate various joinery machine/tools.
- Selfmotivated with a strong work ethic.
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience working within a fastpassed production environment.
- Experience driving a forklift (Counter Balance) is a bonus.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to cope at times of extreme pressure.
- Open to change and new opportunities.
