The Children's Country House at Sudbury is the first heritage experience of its kind for the National Trust, where the Hall, Museum and Garden put children and families at the very centre of the experience. Reporting to the general manager you'll be working to support the delivery of marketing at properties,
giving you the opportunity to develop your own marketing and communications expertise and to use your creativity and knowledge to make a real difference. There is a requirement to work on a rota which includes 1 in 3 weekends and school holidays.

What you'll be doing:You will be planning, creating, editing, proof-reading, co-ordinating and collating content for offline and online channels. You'll work with the property leadership team at The Children's Country House at Sudbury to keep webpages up to date and create an easy to understand visitor journey. You’ll help to generate positive press coverage, attract more visitors and enhance their experience.
You’ll help to evaluate and plan marketing activity by gathering data on a regular basis. You’ll coordinate and collate information on how the communications and marketing activity is performing.
Demonstrating excellent communication you'll build relationships with property and consultancy teams to help deliver excellent results across all marketing channels.
Who we're looking forThis is an exciting role at an innovative property in a high-profile organisation. To be successful, you’ll need:
- The ability to create marketing plans
- Have written or co-ordinated marcomms plans and strategies
- Good working knowledge of social media such as Facebook and Instagram
- Confident in collaborating with a number of teams and departments to build relationships and encourage cross working
- Some understanding of marketing and communications across local and regional print, broadcast, digital and social media channels
- Ability to extract and collate analytics and other data
- Experience juggling multiple priorities and deadlines across different teams
