**About the Role**
You’ll be responsible for leading a two person Repair team. Reporting directly to the Network Supervisor, you will need to be self-motivated with an ability to drive your team. You'll have exceptional customer service skills, be extremely enthusiastic and have the ability to lead by example in order to promote safe working practice whilst driving efficiency and maintaining compliant ways of working
Your day to day duties will include:
- Attending gas escapes to locate, make safe and repair as appropriate
- Isolations of Mains and Services where required and necessary
- Meter Control Valves exchanges
- Conducting service checks.
- Syphon pumping, valve repairs, mains/leakage surveys, ancillary work on the network Groundwork
- Excavations and reinstatements
- Utilising appropriate signing, lighting and guarding
- Ensure cable avoidance
- Delivery of equipment and tools where required
- Patrol and plant protection
- Supervising the team
- Programming of escapes for further work
- LP/MP/IP Mainlaying, including working for partner companies as required
- Service laying and connections
- Working on deep excavations up to 2.5m
- Working on a standby rota system
**About You**
We’re looking for people who act with pride, purpose and ownership to join our team, along with:
- An NCO2GS qualification
- A full UK driving licence
- EUSR Essential Qualifications
- SHEA Gas
- NCO(G) - Service Layer (Distribution)
- NCO(G) - Meter Disconnection
**Other Essential**
- NRSWA (SWQR) - Location and avoidance of underground apparatus, Signing Lighting and Guarding, Excavation in the highway
**Desirable Qualifications**
- NMO(G) - Escape Locate Repair
- NCO(G) - Main Layer up to 180mm (Distribution)
