**The Role**
Reporting into our Planning and Design Manager, you will work within our Network Design who are primarily responsible for the development of network design and mapping of our extensive fibre network. Main responsibilities of the role will include:

- Keeping our network site database updated with all relevant information.
- Creating network maps using a combination of GIS mapping software (Vetro), Google Earth and QGIS.
- Aid the Construction Team in organising and accurately documenting planned fibre construction and help with the planning and mapping of future fibre community schemes.
- Create and update Fibre Splicing matrixes.
- Generating network expansion quotes.
- Provide the interface of information into PIA submissions, permitting and wayleave submissions.
- Produce accurate As-build documentation.

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience**
- University degree or equivalent in Surveying, Geography, Geology or similar.
- Detailed knowledge of XGSPON and point to point fibre network architecture.
- Experience of using CAD or GIS software
- Any experience of Telecoms FTTP Design (Fibre to the Premise).

**Salary**: £24,000-£30,000 (depending on experience)
