You’ll be meeting claimants after flooding incidents to assess damage and compensation, where liability attaches. We’re looking for you to negotiate with claimants and their representatives to settle claims, within agreed limits and then for above limits, provide advice to the Insurance & Claims Manager in relation to liability and quantum.

You’ll be responsible for corresponding with claimants or their representatives, ensuring that the company meets required timescales, along with working closely with the company’s legal representatives at all stages of legal proceedings. This can mean you may need to be in attendance in court to provide expert witness evidence in relation to company systems and investigation findings, and support other witnesses.

Good IT skills are necessary along with an ability to use technical systems.

We’re looking for you to have discretion and integrity in dealing with the confidential issues associated with claims, along with proven experience of dealing with difficult customers/claimants and you’ll be self-sufficient and capable of working under pressure to deadlines.

Due to the mobile nature of the role, you’ll have a valid full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
