Own Vehicle Insurance Requirements

The following coverages are mínimal requirements to allow an Owner Driver.

Failure to provide the correct level of cover or removal of cover whilst working for DPDgroup UK LTD will render the ODF personally accountable for any liability incurred.

Motor Insurance

Fully Comprehensive insurance; for and in connection with business plus Social, Domestic and Pleasure.

Cover must be for named ODF or if company cover then the Policy holder and any driver - or named driver.

Goods in Transit

Cover must be at least £10,000 per consignment and £40,000 per vehicle.

In cab equipment must be covered up £1,000

Policy Excess should be no more than £250 per claim.

Public Liability

You must have General/Public Liability Insurance of at least £1 million.

Employers Liability

You must have Employers Liability Insurance, with cover of at least £5 million for any one claim. This is to support the unfettered right of substitution within the DPD contract

Cover Notes

You must supply us with copies of the Insurance Cover Note for the intended vehicle and also the cover notes confirming the above categories of insurance that have been taken out on the intended vehicle.

When forwarding the Insurance Certificate for your intended vehicle, you should also forward proof of the amounts of cover in respect of the above categories.

We may require our interest to be named on policies.

We will also require a Photocopy of the Vehicle Registration Document.
Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a. As a, you will be responsible for driving a van and delivering goods to various locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and excellent communication skills. Duties: - Safely operate a van to transport goods to designated locations - Load and unload items from the van - Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods - Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details - Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance - Assist with warehouse duties as needed Requirements: - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver preferred - Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to drive for long periods of time and navigate through various locations - Capable of lifting heavy objects (up to [insert weight limit]) - Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is a plus Note: All positions at our company are paid, including internship positions.
