**Responsibilities**

**Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records**:

- Record financial transactions in appropriate ledgers, journals, and software systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial data, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents.

**Process and manage accounts payable and receivable**:

- Prepare and issue invoices to customers.
- Track and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Review vendor invoices and process payments in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

**Assist with financial reporting**:

- Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to management as needed.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

**Perform payroll and benefits administration**:

- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, benefits, and taxes.
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.

**Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies**:

- Keep abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to financial recordkeeping and reporting.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

**Assist with budgeting and forecasting**:

- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate financial data.
- Collaborate with management to develop realistic financial projections.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.

**Maintain confidentiality**:

- Handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality.
- Protect company assets and ensure data integrity.

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and bookkeeping practices.
- Solid understanding of payroll processing and payroll tax regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract
