Finance Assistant

**Salary**: £22,000

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Finance Assistant to join this family owned international group. The purpose of this role is to support the Finance Business Partner and Management Accountant in providing accurate and meaningful financial information.

THE ROLE:
Maintaining the Purchase and Sales Ledger and ensuring that all documents are recorded correctly.

Ensuring all supplier statements are reconciled and differences resolved.

Matching delivery notes to invoices and filing.

Ensuring invoice authorisation policy is followed.

Ensuring Employee expenses are correctly recorded and posted.

Resolving supplier issues before they become material problem.

Monitoring and assessing customer accounts and credit limits.

Cash input and allocation/reconciliation of Bank Statements.

Chasing unpaid invoices and dealing with invoice/debit note queries.

Working to monthly deadlines.

Generating supplier payment proposals and processing payments.

Controlling petty cash/focus of reduced usage.

THE CANDIDATE:
You will ideally be AAT qualified or working towards this with knowledge of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and general accounting procedures. You will have good communication skills and take a pro active approach to work. My client offer a lovely working environment where there is a real team vibe.

THE BENEFITS: £22,000, Pension, 23 days holiday plus stats (rising to 25 after 2 years), flexible hours.
