As our **Day Service Supervisor,** you’ll lead and inspire a team to deliver a vibrant, person-centred Day Service. You’ll oversee daily activities, encourage social interaction, and ensure every visitor feels welcome, supported, and engaged.

**As Day Service Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in shaping and enhancing the Day Service by**:

- Developing a varied programme of activities and opportunities that inspire and engage attendees.
- Working hand-in-hand with staff and volunteers to build a strong, community-based service.
- Supporting the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of attendees while respecting their individuality.
- Encouraging independence in all aspects of daily life.
- Providing personal care when required with dignity and sensitivity.
- Leading on assessments for new attendees and evaluating their experiences.
- Keeping accurate, high-quality records and managing service charge collections, including liaising with Local Authorities about funding.
- Leading and developing the Day Service team, helping them grow their skills through training and support.
- Ensuring policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements are always met.
- To ensure that all work is carried out in line with ExtraCare’s Health & Safety Policies
- To be fully responsible, conversant and compliant with all ExtraCare’s policies and procedures, along with any changes which may be implemented from time to time

- Compassionate and caring - committed to treating everyone with dignity, respect, and kindness, without judgment.

- Professional and reliable - able to follow ExtraCare’s policies and training requirements, and keep clear, accurate records.
- Person-centred mindset - understands that every individual’s care should be tailored to their needs, choices, and independence.
- Respectful of trust - values confidentiality, professional boundaries, and promotes wellbeing at every step.
- Great communicator - listens well, builds strong relationships, and works collaboratively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Organised and calm under pressure - able to prioritise, stay focused, and use initiative, especially in emergencies.
- Experienced - background in delivering care (formal or informal), with experience in domiciliary care, hospitals, residential, or nursing homes being a plus.
