Dropship Technical Manager

**Job Purpose**
Dropship is a part of the Robert Dyas business where the physical stock is actually held and dispatched directly by the Supplier, not by Robert Dyas. Product ranges include Large Kitchen Appliances, Garden Furniture, Indoor Furniture and Garden Buildings. Thedropship offering by Robert Dyas is a growing area of the business and is expected to continue in its growth over the coming months and years.
This role is to manage the Dropship process for Robert Dyas, on-boarding new suppliers using the dedicated web portal or via an EDI integration. The role involves having day to day contact with over 250 dropship suppliers, offering support and training as required.Liaising with the Robert Dyas buying teams to support them when discussing the different options for dropship suppliers.
**Responsibilities**
Reporting to the e-commerce On-Site manager the role will involve being responsible for on-boarding of suppliers to the dropship process either using the dedicated web portal or an API integration. Owning the dropship process from start to finish, offeringsuggestions to improve the current process and systems used. To ensure suppliers are on-boarded in line with the business requirements for range and product launches. Become the main contact with any external system suppliers and the expert in the dropshipprocess from start to finish. Another key area of responsibility is ensuring dropship suppliers are following agreed processes of shipment confirmations, returns and invoicing.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Managing our Order Management System partner to ensure the process is working as expected for all our dropship suppliers.
- Project manage multiple suppliers on-boarding at any one time to ensure business targets for product and range launches are met.
- On-boarding new suppliers via API or by the web-based portal.
- Training new suppliers on the dropship system, before the supplier goes live.
- Supporting the suppliers through the go-live process - offering support and instructions of how to use the process effectively.
- Be responsible for supplier and user set up on the dropship system
- Work with the e-commerce Category Assistants to ensure new products are ready for launch when suppliers have been trained and are ready to go live with the dropship process.
- Be the first point of contact for our customer service team helping with any questions regarding dropship customer orders and ensuring the customer journey is frictionless.
- Constantly reviewing the current dropship process for ways to enhance and improve the system.
- Working closely with our Third Party Order Management System to ensure the SLA’s are met and the system is functioning as expected.
- Line manage and delegate to junior team members.
