An outdoor clothing business based out of New Zealand is seeking to expand into the UK and then into Europe. This is a long established, family run business and they seek a Brand Development Manager to operate as the brand ambassador for its range. Thisis a fully remote, stand alone role and you will be working closely with their established UK distributor who partners with a number of established and recognisable channels but there is far more opportunity to further promote and develop the brand As theBrand Development Manager you will take overall responsibility for building the company brand, building new business opportunities, and supporting the company’s global marketing strategy in conjunction with the company’s distributor.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Export Director in New Zealand, you will:

- Ensure the in-store merchandising of the company’s products, sets the range apart from competitors and drives buyer engagement
- Engage with customers in store, at trade shows, regional shows, via surveys to understand pain points and identify opportunities for innovation of product and systems.
- Gain an understand of the competition - how do they sell? How are their products pitched? Who are they partnered with? Are they strong financially?
- Provide intelligence/feedback on market changes. Communicate findings, trends, and opportunities back to the company.
- Identify best marketing channels to promote and build the company brand
- Work closely with the UK distributor in a supportive way, proactively engaging with them to actively build the brand and keep it in front of the customers minds.

**Requirements**:

- A unique skillset of sales, marketing and strong commercial acumen.
- The ability to build and maintain solid relationships with top echelon decision-makers.
- Ideally from an apparel and retail background
- Highly analystical
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- The ability to adapt to diverse environments, manage multiple priorities and drive for continuous improvement and delivery of quality outcomes.
- A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel across the UK approximately 50% of the time.
