Spire Little Aston Hospital is expanding the scope of services we offer our patients and are looking for a Bank Ward Clerk/Receptionist to offer an exemplary level of high customer service to all patients, consultants and hospital teams. To meet and strive to exceed all our customer's expectations, presenting a high standard of personal appearance together with total confidentiality in every aspect of work at all times. Providing an efficient administrative service within the hospital, operating within established policies and procedures.

Spire Little Aston Hospital is a leading private hospital in the Midlands, offering comprehensive hospital care to patients from Birmingham and the surrounding areas of the West Midlands and Staffordshire. The hospital has an exceptional reputation within a variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Cosmetics, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology, General Surgery & Physiotherapy.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Welcoming, registering and directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, to the hospital in a warm, professional and caring manner and in such a way as to provide confidence.
- Admission/Emergency Admission/Discharge of patients onto computer system ensuring accuracy of all information including capture of patient credit card details
- Processing in-patient charges including hotel services, clinical diagnostic tests and accurate bed charges
- Liaison with Hotel Services/Bed Manager/Nursing staff (not exclusive ) to ensure accuracy of bed allocation and smooth running of patient admission.

**Who we're looking for**:

- Educated to GCSE level including English and Maths
- Experience of working as a Receptionist or Administration type role is highly desired
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (Desirable)
- Experience in customer service or with the general public desired
- Needs to be flexible as the wards are open 6.30am '“ 8pm inc weekends

About the Team: Spire Little Aston Hospital is a purpose built private hospital which opened in 1985. We are a leading provider of private hospital treatments for our patients across the West Midlands and beyond, located in Sutton Coldfield and we employ around 350 staff. Our facility includes 34 inpatient rooms, a dedicated 2 bedded ERU. There are 3 laminar flow theatres, a purpose built endoscopy unit, outpatient services provided in 15 consulting rooms, and a state of the art diagnostic offering on site as well as Perform Physiotherapy providing excellent rehabilitation facilities.
