**Job summary**:
We are currently seeking 3 Senior HR Caseworkers within the People Group.

The Senior HR Caseworker will be responsible providing HR advice and support to managers and employees by managing a mixed caseload of routine and complex ER cases and ensuring that all cases are progressed to specified deadlines and performance standards. The Senior HR Caseworker will support the Case Management Lead in ensuring that the case work team are providing a consistent and quality service across UKHSA.

**Job description**:

- Manage a portfolio of HR cases where face to face and remote intervention is required.
- Manage caseload to specified deadlines and performance standards
- Supporting a culture of continuous development and improvement across all team activity, identifying opportunities to be more efficient and improve service delivery
- Ensuring governance is understood and complied with so that day to day responsibilities is understood and that decision making is effective. This includes the appropriate and timely escalation of risks to the Case Management Lead.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service ethos focusing on continuous improvement and building and maintaining excellent relationships with line managers and other People Group professionals.
- Ensure cases are managed in a timely manner and appropriate conclusions met, adhering to employment law, a range of policies and terms and conditions and ensuring operational and business needs are met.
Ensure that the recording of all agreed key data requirements (opening, managing, and closing down of cases) is accurately and promptly recorded for effective
- performance management of casework against team performance indicators.
- Escalate cases where there is significant organisational risk and / or risk of not meeting critical deadlines e.g., readiness for Employment Tribunal case submissions or performance standards.

**Person specification**:
**Essential criteria - **you will be assessed on the below (10) essential criteria, which have been selected from the Job Description
- A relevant professional qualification i.e, CIPD or willingness to work towards this and equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience of managing and providing HR advice on complex and sensitive employee relations cases
- Up to date knowledge of employment law
- Experience of working autonomously and managing a workload of multiple competing priorities
- Experience of analysing, interpreting and reporting information in an effective manner to recommend an appropriate course of action
- Experience of using HR information systems
- Experience in developing HR policies and procedures
- Ability to problem solve, think quickly and adapt and respond appropriately to a range of varied and immediate customer needs
- Able to interpret information from various sources i.e. policies, legislation, case law and provide sound HR advice or propose a policy or service change
- Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear messages accurately for a range of audiences
