**Who you are?**
As a Payroll Specialist, you will report to the Payroll Manager. You will have full responsibility for the delivery of expert payroll services to allocated Payroll Divisions. Operating across a growing number of Group Companies.

**As the Payroll Specialist, you’ll get the opportunity to**:
- Assist in the processing of payrolls over different pay frequencies including weekly and monthly
- Administers and runs all payrolls across the Group in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines ensuring that all payrolls are processed efficiently, effectively, and accurately.
- Completes and returns, payroll data to other third party organisations like HMRC, pension providers, courts and Child Support Agency;
- Work closely with the Payroll Manager to transition any new business into the Payroll department
- Ensure the operational delivery of payroll services to the agreed customer service levels
- Timely management of day to day pay related matters including responding to pay and pension queries
- Ensure statutory compliance on all pay related practices and guidance given to customers, keeping abreast of statutory legislation
- Compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR
- Maintain confidentiality and security of any payroll and employee systems, to meet company, legal and statutory requirements
- Work with the Payroll Manager and as part of the team to deliver continuous improvements to process
**What you’ll bring?**
- Proven experience of delivering payroll services as part of a team
- Proven knowledge of statutory payroll requirements
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Payroll Module desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of implementing a new payroll system and transitioning processes desirable but not essential
- Good working knowledge of Excel ideally to intermediate level
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Good planning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
- Positive can do attitude
