The Youth Offending Service is a highly successful statutory partnership which is required to reduce the offending of children and young people; reduce the incidence of harm to potential victims; repair existing harm where possible and safeguard the welfare of the children and young people with whom we work. You must be able to identify and act upon risks, and do so swiftly when required. You will work in partnership with colleagues inside and outside the YOS. You will be expected to offer a range of approaches to your work, which are responsive to the needs of the individuals. The YOS client group can live chaotic lifestyles, and your persistence and determination will be important to your ability to engage, and re-engage with those who need you most. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
