We know that full time education isn’t for everyone. We also have an excellent record of retaining our apprentices beyond their apprenticeship course, securing permanent roles for those wanting to stay in the council.

Your starting salary will be** £8.60**an hour in your first year. During your second year you will remain on this amount or the minimum wage for your age, whichever is higher. We can also offer you 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, an excellent pension and a number of discounts including gym membership.

Here at Blackburn with Darwen we aim to treat all of our employees equally and fairly, and to reflect this we recently launched our new values, Trust, Respect, Ambition, Collaboration, and Kindness; TRACK By incorporating these values throughout our working lives our employees, managers, and teams can work in a supportive and enjoyable workplace.

**APPRENTICE - Business Administration**

The New Directions Careers Service and Inclusion Team are looking for a Business Administrator to work flexibly across both services in this exciting new role. You will be joining two vibrant, enthusiastic and hard-working teams who place young people at the heart of everything they do.

The general administration duties within this role may include:

- Taking and making telephone calls to young people and their parents/carers as well as other organisations
- Supporting a variety of meetings
- Preparing mailshots, printing and resource preparation
- Support the development of marketing and promotional materials
- Collating and inputting a variety of data
