Lead Midwife for Governance and Safety

We have an exciting opportunity in our Maternity Department to to support the Head of Midwifery to embed an open and transparent culture and governance framework that facilitates the delivery of safe, high-quality care.
This will include a Care Group-wide approach to Quality and Safety, Risk Management, Patient Experience and compliance and will include a specific remit to ensure robust processes are in place to meet the service's requirements for providing excellence in the delivery of maternity care.
They will work closely with the Head of Midwifery, Senior Leadership Team / and Nursing Senior Teams to ensure the smooth and effective management of the Maternity and Gynaecology Service.
The post holder will support and work closely with the Heads of Midwifery for Women's Health in ensuring robust processes are in place to meet the service's requirements for providing excellence in the delivery of maternity care.
The post holder will have responsibility for oversight of the Maternity and gynaecology risk, incidents, serious incidents and learning from harm.
