**Learning Support Assistants**
Here at Sutton & District Training we provide quality education and life skills to young people with additional needs and various other vulnerabilities.
We are recruiting multiple Learning Support Assistants to join our team in Rosehill. For these positions, applicants must be flexible to work on either plumbing or multi skills vocational courses we offer in the College. The working days and hours of these positions vary from each vocational area. If you have a background in construction, or really enjoy working with young people this role would be perfect for you.
The age range of our students is 16-19 years old and up to 25 years old with an EHCP.
**Rosehill Two LSA Full Time Monday-Friday 09.00=16.00 13.54 per hr, (hrs can be flexible)**
**The role will involve**:
- Working as part of a team to support the teaching, learning & enrichment activities.
- The roles will be assigned to support an individual learner on a 1:1 basis or two learners on a 2:1 basis.
- Facilitating 1:1 sessions to help learners work towards achieving EHCP outcomes.
- Chaperone trips outside of the centre.
- Completing session records and writing reports for review processes.
- Ensure the safeguarding of staff and learners.
- Attend training sessions & staff meetings.
- The roles are term time positions, with a two-day induction process before the start of term.
- Complete safeguarding Training
- Complete Prevent Training
- Maintain up to date CPD record
**Person Specifications**
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- Ability and commitment to work as part of a supportive and cohesive team.
- Ability to contribute, follow and evaluate educational programmes set by the tutor.
- Ability to co-ordinate, supervise and support staff activities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to write and maintain reports and student notes and communicate effectively with parents/carers/other professionals.
- Ability to priorities and organise day to day workload.
- Ability to organise, support and co-ordinate group or individual activities.
