We are seeking a conscientious individual with a can-do attitude, who demonstrates a commitment to delivering high quality administration support. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and ideally have administration experience of working with clinical teams in the NHS.
You will work as part of a dynamic administration team, supporting Heart Failure specialist clinicians and operational leaders with a range of administrative tasks to contribute to the smooth running of the clinical service.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide front of service call handling duties, courteously managing incoming calls from and to patients, carers and health professionals. Previous NHS experience relating to clinical administration such as appointment booking, front of service reception duties and management of printing patient appointment letters via a schedule is required.
The post advertised is to be based in Stoke Health Centre, but there may be occassional need to travel between locations to carry out some administration work, attend training and service/team meetings; therefore access to transport is essential.
The service operates between 9-5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
You will need to have a flexible approach to service cover during weekdays if needed, and have a commitment to your own development and contribution to a culture of continuous improvement in the administration team.

To provide administrative support by processing referrals using the Trusts electronic booking system, currently Rio.
To take and make calls from/to patients, carers, members of the public and Health/Social Care staff regarding patient’s referrals/appointments. The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high quality customer care is at the heart of this role.
You will require the ability to work under pressure, with conflicting demands at times, and must be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people including patients, medical staff and colleagues. You will be required to cover for other admin colleagues during periods of absence.
