**Mental Health Support Worker** - £20,202 - £22,000 per annum £10.50 -£11.43 per hour (Salaries vary depending on experiences)
Plus Sleep-In payments of £41.82 per sleep in shift
**Hours** - 37 hours per week, Monday - Sunday, inclusive of bank holidays
**Department** - Adult Service Delivery
**Location** - Scrutton Close
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
The Scrutton Close team focus on supporting clients within their own accommodation. Staff offer a high level of support, and work closely with clients to achieve their personal goals and gain increased independence before taking the next step in their journey. Scrutton is staffed24 hours, 7 days a week, with a sleep in employee available from 11 pm until 7 am.
**Overall job responsibility**:
Some of the core duties include:
- You will provide a safe and comfortable environment for our residents to live and colleagues to work.
- Supporting, encouraging and prompting residents with their medication
- Taking part in a range of activities during key working sessions with residents whilst helping them to achieve their aspirations
- Promoting and encouraging both physical and mental well-being
- Update and maintain records electronically
- Ensure house rules are kept and adhered to, as well as providing a safe and respectful environment
- Conduct regular welfare checks and promoting residents to develop their skills and increase their independence
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and carers

- GCSE Maths and English, being IT literate due to the volume of paperwork required to be kept up to date.
- Good organisational, communication, written and verbal skills and can work calmly in difficult and challenging situations.
- Knowledge and understanding of different types of mental health illnesses and the level of care some residents require would be desirable, but full training will be given.
- Experience within a care or mental health settings is desirable, but not essential.
