As seen on BBC1 Master Chef and voted as one of London's Top 100 Restaurants; acclaimed chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias merges the Spanish cuisine of his family with his love of Mexico for his debut London restaurant, Decimo. Expect lots of flavour - open fire cooking, mezcal cocktails, and a dramatically different tortilla - exceptional design, floor-to-ceiling windows and dramatic views across the London skyline.

We are now looking to grow our team and are seeking dynamic individuals who will capture the energy of this restaurant destination and join our team as a **Decimo Host**.

**Your role**

As **Decimo Host** at The Standard, London, you will become part of an exceptional team with an exciting future. You’ll be our guests’ all important first and last point of contact, meeting them on arrival and escorting them to their tables, on hand to deal with their queries, provide information, and oversee table plans.

You will of course be passionate about service, with an exceptional working knowledge of restaurant operations and reservations; with a good understanding of managing guest lists, table return times, and flow of guests into and out of the restaurant.

Most importantly, you will be a host to our guests adding a touch of personality and theatre to their experience, making our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard and our energetic and vibrant city; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high volume, high energy environment and can manage multiple tasks and guest with ease.

‘Standard People’ are at the heart of our brand; dynamic, vivid, and engaging. Prior experience as a **Host** is essential for this role. You will also need
- Strong experience as a **Host**or Restaurant Receptionist, ideally gained in a similar busy restaurant, ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel or exceptional restaurant
- Expertise in Guest Experience with a natural flair for service, and the ability to build genuine relationships with guests
- Highly social, motivated, and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
- Prior experience using OpenTable
- Passion for food, drinks, design, and service
- Confident in restaurant and bar operations and service
- Available Tuesday - Saturday, as well as the ability to work late-night (Thurs-Sat 2-3am close)
