We’re recruiting an Information Officer to work on Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s library of clinical guidelines and to support the Information Team with the maintenance and development of the Trust’s wider library of information resources for people affected by cystic fibrosis (CF).

The clinical guidelines provide guidance on best practice in CF care and treatment to specialist CF teams. Your role will be to oversee both the updates of existing guidelines, and the development of new guidelines, ensuring they are published on schedule and in line with our information production processes.

You will be expected to convene and co-ordinate expert working groups to review and write guidelines, working with the UK CF Medical Association (UKCFMA) and the Trust’s Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) and Involvement team to recruit cystic fibrosis clinicians, scientists, and experts through lived experience onto the groups.

You will arrange and provide administrative support for working group meetings (hybrid and online), provide accurate meeting minutes, edit and proof-read drafts, oversee consultation of drafts, and work with a range of external suppliers on the document design and printing. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with the Trust’s Marketing and Communications and other teams to ensure that new guidelines are pro-actively shared with the CF community.

Experience of writing, editing or other involvement in producing documents for clinical or scientific audiences is essential, as are strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. An understanding of cystic fibrosis and of medical terminology would be an advantage, as would experience of working with clinical or scientific committees on the production of information.

*This role offers a flexible location however occasional travel to London Office will be required if home-based.
